Holiday Havoc

Well, here we are already, New Year's Eve. Where did this year go? I cannot believe that school is halfway over and we are starting a new year. Kevin started his new job at the end of September. He is a supervisor at Komyo American Honda. It is an auto parts distributor for the Southeast. He seems to enjoy it, but it is 2nd shift so it has required a lot of adjustments for him and for me and the kids. The Lord has truly blessed us and has provided every step of the way. The kids are doing well. They have been a little sick, but they are hopefully on the upswing. Rheagan had her first violin recital and she was perfect. She played so confidently and she did very well! I know Kevin and I were a couple of basket cases waiting for her to play. Landon starts basketball games next week. He has been practicing since right before Thanksgiving. He is thrilled. Addisyn is the same old little mess. She is in to everything and will talk your head off if you let her :) Ryan comes home in a mid January and should be back here by February 1st or so. We can't wait to have him home safe and sound. I hope all of my friends out there are doing well and that you had a blessed holiday season. I look forward to hearing from you.

School Days Are Here Again.

Well, the first day of school and Rheagan was so excited it was finally here. They both popped right out of bed this morning (I am sure that won't last long). Rheagan enjoyed her first day and Landon won't admit it, but he did too. Addi was all alone at Mrs. Britton's house and was happy to see her big brother and sister after school. I can't believe my little Rheago is in school already. I will have to say, this morning was just another of all too many frequent reminders, that life is passing so rapidly. Soon my babies will be grown up. You don't believe all the people that tell you about how fast time flies until you are living it yourself. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Farewell Fond Vacation!

Well, we went, we saw and now we are back at work. Time passes so fast when you are enjoying yourself. We had a blast on Seabrook Island, SC. The kids played in the ocean and we spent several days at the beach. We went to Charleston one day and Patriots Point where the USS Yorktown is permanently docked. Kevin, of course, was like a kid in a candy store. Anything military, especially Navy, can keep him captivated for hours (actually days). We had such a great time relaxing and spending time together as a family. The Lord protected and gave us safe travel. We had a little car trouble on the way home, but it turned out to be nothing. The Lord healed our van and made whatever was wrong go away. Landon and Rheagan start school on August 19th and I am so sad. Landon is in 2nd grade and Rheago is in Kindergarten. How time flies. My babies are growing so fast. I was wondering the other day when it happened that I am carrying on significant conversations with my children. You know what I mean. Not baby talk or what we are having for dinner, but who and why we are voting for certain candidates. They are all healthy and so smart. I am so thankful. Anyway, hope all of my friends are well and I look forward to hearing from you.

A Wild and Wonderful Summer!

July has been a busy month. Landon celebrated his 7th birthday(can you believe it!) and we went to Zuma Fun Center with his buddy Tyler Brown. We had a great time. We also had a pool party at the Eller's neighborhood pool. We had a great time with family. The Lord has truly blessed us with a wonderful extended family that I love very much! Landon had his final baseball tournament this past weekend. They finished in 3rd place. He has improved so much and is really enjoying playing the game. Fall signups are in a few weeks and I am sure we will start this all over again :) The girls are doing well. Rheagan is thrilled about starting school and of course I am a nervous wreck. We truly are great friends. She is me made over (just half the size). I know all of you are thinking that I have gotten what I deserve :) Addi is potty training and she is doing fairly well. She is a wonderful little girl. She is a firecracker full of independence. The Lord has given me 3 wonderful children (4 if you count Kevin) and I am grateful for each of them. Please be in prayer for Kevin's job. Things are up in the air right now and we are learning to trust the Lord with the uncertainty. Also, Ryan is well and we covet your prayers for him. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to hear from many of you soon!

Greetings!

Well, since my mom updated you on Rheagan's party and on my Landon's championship season, I will just let you know that we are having a great summer and are enjoying our time with the kids (as little as it is). We leave for vacation on July 26 and we are going to Seabrook Island, SC. We are so excited. I haven't been on a vacation in years. The kids have never swam in the ocean so they are looking forward to it. I will just be glad to not have to go to work! The Lord is blessing and we are talking with Landon about baptism. Please be in prayer about that. We don't want to convince him of salvation, but he gives a clear testimony. Kevin is teaching a table in our 20's Sunday School class and the Lord is using that opportunity in his life. I hope all of my friends are doing well. I was in the newborn nursery tonight at church and I had the privilege of holding Pastor and Mrs. Boyle's granddaughter! She is gorgeous and I was excited to see Amy too. Congrats to them. I hope to hear from you all soon. Take care and God bless!

Yes, I am alive.

Well, I have crawled out of the black hole called life for a few moments to update our blog. All is well in Smiddyland. We are almost done with school. Landon is ready for summer and frankly, so am I. We are going to Seabrook Island, SC with Kevin's family in July and I am very ready for a vacation. Rheagan turns 5 on Thursday (May 8) and we are having a tea party for her and her friends on the 17th at Grammie's house. She is very excited! Kevin is about to change positions and shifts at work, so pray for that, if you will. I hope that all of my friends are doing well and that you are experiencing the Lord's blessings in your life. He is SO GOOD and how often I forget. Also, please remember to pray for Ryan. He has been in Iraq for 2 weeks now. We have heard from him a couple of times, but not in the last few days. Pray for the Lord's protection and for his peace in our hearts over the next year. Thank you all.

Winter is Almost Over!

Praise the Lord! We were able to take a walk yesterday and play outside a little bit. The kids were thrilled to get outside. It was snowing on Saturday and it will be 72 tomorrow! How crazy is that! We are all doing well. The kids are growing soooo quickly. Addisyn will be 2 in less than a month. I can't believe it. Landon is almost done with another school year. Baseball is in full swing :) He is playing on a Farm team this year and all of the kids are older than him. I think he will do well. Ryan is due home in a few weeks for a short visit before he heads overseas. Please continue to pray for him!
